The Wedding Day

Just to warn you there are a lot of pictures on this post. But hey who can blame me it was my wedding day. Thanks to Heather taking all these pics I was able to post these pictures on the blog. And just in case you are craving more pictures of Steve and I on the big day you can go to our photographers site where he posted our pictures at rimlight.com/ss/summer. I got no sleep the night before the wedding. I got home late because we were setting up the reception center. And then knowing that I would have to be up at 6 am I was nervous that I was going to sleep through my alarm so I never fell asleep that night. In fact Steve and I were texting until 1:30 in the morning because neither one of us could fall asleep. Well I got up and got ready and then I was at Katie's at 7 o'clock for her to do my hair.

My bangs were being really naughty they were looking really weird and Katie kept on trying to fix them. After like the 3rd time of wetting them down she was finally able to make them look good. Then I was able to see my brother Dane who flew in late the night before for a few minutes before Steve and I headed off to Salt Lake. We got to the Temple and met our photographer and videographer and took tons of pictures. Then we headed over the the temple and met our parents. The sealing was really simple and beautiful. Which is what Steve and I both wanted.

Jeff, Heather and Aubrey waiting outside of the Temple for Steve and me to come out.

Aubrey my niece was one of my cute little flower girls

Kaylyn my niece was one of my bridesmaids and Katie one of my other flower girls.

I love this pictuer of Katie and Aubrey checking each other out. They are like I think we are supposed to like each other because we're cousins but I don't really know you.

Kaylyn and Aubrey showing some family love.

My two cute little nieces that I rarely get to see.

Aubrey and Katie making puppy noises so that they would be happy to take a picture.

And still after that they are still not really smiling at the camera.

Mr. and Mrs. Carlile coming out of the temple.

My dress was long and puffy so Steve had to carry it the whole day.

My three cute little flower girls. I loved their dresses I looked all over and finally found them all at dillards. They really are not all supposed to go together but I think they looked great together. They were sporting my three colors. Aubrey in the Orange, Katie in the Purple and Katelyn in the Pink.

Katelyn and Aubrey kissing. These flowers girls had the chance to meet a few times before the the wedding. And the fun thing is that they only live like 3 minutes away from each other.

The funny thing about this picture is Katelyn my only non-blood flower girl was the only one to take a picture with me. Katie and Aubrey were too afraid of me. I loved my bouquet I had all three of my colors and the flowers were calla lillies, gerber daisies, and roses.

And here is the evidence that Katelyn is the only one that likes me. We kept on trying to get the three of the next to me for a picture but Katie and Aubrey would not have it.

Three of my bridesmaids and JJ the ring bearer. I had all of my sisters and sister in-laws be the bridesmaids and my cute niece Kaylyn was definitely too big to be a flower girl with the other little girls. So she finally graduated from being a flower girl after three times of already being one and made it into the brides maid world. I loved the bridesmaids outfits. Most of the fancy bridesmaids dresses I think are kind of cheesy looking and super expensive especially if you have 7 bridesmaids. So I found these shirts at forever 21 in all three of my colors and they weren't too expensive. And then they all just wore black skirts.

Aubrey taking on one of her resposibilities as a flower girl and that is holding her flower. Each of the bridesmaids got a calla lily, Kaylyn the junior bridesmaid got a rose, and the flower girls got a gerber daisy.

The family hanging out as the photographer takes pictures of Steve and me.

At last we get the three flower girls in a picture together.

Steve found the groomsmen some sweet ties on line that perfectly matched the bridesmaids shirts. The groomsmen were the brothers and brother-in-laws. It was kind of fun because we had each family match in colors. So for instance Heather was my orange bridesmaid so Jeff wore an orange tie and Aubrey wore an orange dress. So it made the pictures of the individual families look good.

Waiting while the photographer takes pictures of Steve and his family. I loved my wedding dress. I knew that I wanted one with the bunches in it to make the skirt kind of rufflely. My sisters can tell you too I definitely took my time picking one out. I think I tried on most of the dresses at allyses before I finally picked.

My beautiful sister and me.

I was so glad that Dane could come out I hardly get to see him and his family. At the end of the night before Steve and I went off on our honeymoon I said good-bye to Dane and got really emotional because I only had a chance to talk to him for like 10 min that morning. And I love hanging out with my big bro. Steve and I will just have to fly out to Alabama and hang out with them. I always tell Steve how much fun it is to hang out with Dane and Karen and kids. Karen is like the best host ever.

Me and the groomsmen. Pretty handsome I would say.

Aubrey hanging out with the boys.

My beautiful roommates, Kirsti, Ashley and Alex all came early to the reception so that I could get a picture with them.

The wedding line. I was surprised with how many people came. Steve is from Heber and so we had a big turn out. We stood in line for 2 hours and there were no breaks where there weren't people waiting in line.

Jeff so cute with the kiddos

My Grandma Wilkerson with Dane and Katie.

Steve and Me cutting the cake.

Steve was really good at not spreading the frosting on my face. My mom and Cindy made that cake and I thought it turned out perfect.

The daddy daughter dance. Heather and Elliot were nice enough to agree to sing during the dance. There unfortunately wasn't a microphone for people to hear them better. But they sang great. The puffy skirt underneath my dress was falling down during the dance so it was really challenging to do the waltz.

Because it was so hard to dance during the second verse my dad had the great idea to stop and watch Elliot and Heather sing.

That is me thinking how are Steve and I going to be able to dance now. Luckily we were not doing the waltz.

Steve had to hold up the dress a little bit.

And we were able to finish the song.

Steve looks so handsome in this picture I am a lucky girl.

Taking off the garter to toss. It ended up stuck in the ceiling. I don't remember who ended up catching it.

Throwing the bouquet. I think my neice Kaylyn caught it. She was not quite 9 yet so the other girls might have to wait awhile til they find Mr. right.

Apparently Aubrey loved her second responsibility as the flower girl and that was to pass out bubbles to the people at the reception. She passed them out so happily. In fact she was so dedicated to her job that she handed one to me on my way out to the honeymoon.

Steve and I leaving the reception.

Everyone blowing bubbles at us.

What do you mean,"like the best host?!?" I AM the best host! Or maybe I used to be. You'll just have to come and see if I still am. Considering we rarely or hardly ever see you, you are ALWAYS welcome and I am dying to meet Steve. Love the pictures too.
