From Nose Bleed to Box Seats

Here's another reason why I love Nu Skin:

Two days after we got home from Vegas, I get a phone call from Steve about two hours before I got off of work, saying that Nu Skin gave him two tickets to the Jazz game that night and they were box seats, so he wanted to know if I wanted to go. You bet your bottom dollar I wanted to go. I have only been to one other Jazz game in my life, and the tickets were given to me from my Bishop which was super nice of him to give his ward members these tickets but they were nose bleeds. I didn't care I was just excited to go to an NBA game.

I have decided Suite side is the way to go!

Here's Steve eating our catered dinner.

And I know you can't see this super well but this is President Monson at the game as well. So Steve and I joked that we had FHE with President Monson since it was a Monday night and he was at the game too! It goes to show people should plan fun FHE's.

And the most fun part is is was a super close game and we won in the last 1.5 seconds by like one point or something, sorry I was too excited to remember.

Are any of you starting to understand how great Nu Skin is? Well just wait for the next post. It even gets better well at least for me it does.

What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas!

I just want to take a second and give a big shout out to Nu Skin. I seriously think they rock! And from this post and the next 3 that I will right, you will know that they rock as well.
Steve was invited to a marketing summit in Las Vegas, and since he was going to stay in a big fancy hotel all by himself we thought I should come and bring him company. We stayed in the JW Marriott, and all we had to pay for was my flight, my food, and of course our little shopping sprees!

Here is our walk in closet

Here is the nicest jetted tub that I have ever been in. I literally took a bath twice a day I loved it so much!

Here are some pictures of the outside of the Hotel at night.

And here are some pictures of the temple.

I had such a blast! We left on Wednesday, December 2nd and then flew back on the 5th. I slept in which is one of favorite things to do, we shopped, ate great food, and relaxed. There is just something about Las Vegas that I absolutely love. I don't know why I love it so much since, I don't gamble, drink, and I obey the law of chastity, but I just think it is so fun even when you keep things clean.

Thanksgiving

We had a really great thanksgiving, my mom and dad were able to come out and here my mom is making the turkey Steve and I brought.

Heather taught a bunch of us girls how to crochet this super cute headband that Aubrey is wearing and if you look below it is my finished headband, I made it cream and brown. I liked the neutral colors so that I can wear it more often.

Here's mom and pops with Brooke

Here are the girlies crocheting our headbands, Heather is a great teacher!

Steve and Brooke

I am a slacker and never take pictures so I stole these from Heather's blog but I think this is the cutest picture!

The next day we were able to go up and see my moms family, and have a Thanksgiving dinnerwith my Grandma Wilkerson. It was really good to see her again.

And here we are at the church the day after thanksgiving eating and playing with some really cute nieces!

Gift Receipts: Who Wins and Who Loses?

I know that this is sort of a long post but please read it anyway because I think people should be aware of this scheme that I think some stores do. So I am super far behind in blogging, but I think what happened to me on Saturday people need to be aware of. I have always heard that when you give someone a gift receipt, they will get back the price you paid for it. I no longer think that this is the case everywhere. Stores know that you don't know how much someone paid for you, so they know they can bank on it. So before Christmas I bought a shirt for my husband Steve at Express, and when they asked if I wanted a gift receipt I said yes, because I figured that way I can put it on top of the shirt when I wrap it, then my husband will know that he can return it and I won't be offended or anything. So we decide to bring the shirt and the gift receipt to the mall the day after Christmas just to see if there is another shirt that he would like better. We go to Express, and he liked the shirt I got him best, but he said how much did you spend on it because I don't really need a new shirt. I said I think it is about $35, so he decides that he wants to return it. We go to return it and pull out the gift receipt, then the cashier asks for some help from the manager and the manager says before January 1st we can only give store credit or exchange, and I overheard something about $25 dollars. So Steve said he wants store credit even though there was nothing else he wanted to buy. So I ask the girl how much are we getting for our store credit and she says $25, so then I ask, is that how much it was purchased for? She replies yes. So we are walking out of the store and I am totally questioning the price, so I look through my wallet hoping that I kept my receipt. Fortunately I had, I check the price and it was $38. Express was about to make $13 off of us. Now that I would not stand for. So I go up to the manager and I show her the actual receipt and I said this is how much it was purchased for, and I want cash back since I have the actual receipt, and they did. They seemed really embarrassed and they should be. Does anyone else have an experience like this? Please share if you do. I kind of want to test this out at other stores now. I now question if when I have given gift receipts if people only get a portion back of what I actually paid for them. I now think I might want to give them the actual receipt for a possible return instead of a gift receipt.
