I thought that this was a really cool article in the Ensign. I never realized that Joseph Smith came pretty close to becoming the President (or at least his enemies thought that he would become the President), and that was a huge reason why he was martyred. I would love to hear what all of you think of this article.

I think they had a lesson in Relief Society that talked about him running for Pres of US also there was an article in the Ensign that I read about it. It could have solved a lot of problems had people not been so prejudice.
