Nu Skin

On Wednesday, December 9th I interviewed for a job at Nu Skin. On Thursday the 10th we went to the Nu Skin Christmas Party, while there they had said that Nu Skin won best company in Utah to work for. I totally believe it. They also said that they have made more money as a company this year than any other year so the bad economy is not really effecting them. While there they said for Christmas everyone is getting two weeks extra of pay for their Christmas bonus. Also everyone will get an extra vacation day paid for. Everyone got an ipod, $100 costco card, and then 12 days of Christmas which was some free nu skin products. I mean seriously what company does this for all of their employees.

Well the next day on the 11th I was offered the job! I was so thrilled to be working for the best company in Utah. It is a big pay bump for me, and I get to use my exercise science degree which is awesome. I am a product support specialist which means I answer questions about the products and so I get to explain the science behind it. I started on Monday, December 14th and I felt bad because I couldn't give two weeks notice to the company that I currently work for, but I was still thrilled about the job. See I told you guys that we have been busy.

Well anyway Steve left on Saturday the 12th to Japan that was paid for via Nu Skin since he was going for business, but he also got to visit some people that he worked with on his mission and he got to revisit the places he saw on his mission so that is pretty cool. And maybe if you guys request it he can tell you about his trip.

Well the first day I work there we are getting emails from the company saying is there a 13th day of Christmas? Pretty much saying that they have another Christmas gift to offer. So on Wednesday the 16th I go to a meeting where Blake Roney the founder of Nu Skin was and Scott Schwerdt the President of the company were attending to tell us what the 13th day of Christmas was. So they had the part timers raise their hands and they told them that they would each on top of everything else the company already gave them would receive $500 for Christmas. And that the full timers would receive $1000. And on the spot they gave everyone live checks. Isn't that awesome? They prorated the money so since I was a new employee I wouldn't get any money but Steve was getting the extra $1000 so I was not complaining. Well then Scott Schwert comes back to peoples desks to shake peoples hands and my husband has worked with him quite a bit. So anyway he is walking down my aisle with another man named Dan and Dan was asking what I was working on. So I told him that I just got hired so I was studying the products, as I was talking to him Scott walks up to my desk so I tell him that I am Steve Carlile's wife. And he said well I bet you are glad about getting the $1000 bonus, so I said well I just got hired on Monday so I won't be getting it. Well he pulls out his wallet and puts a 100 dollar bill on my desk. I couldn't believe it. I had only been working there for 2 1/2 days and I was already getting a Christmas bonus!

Anyway sorry that this post is so long but basically Nu Skin is awesome and I am so glad that I am working there. I love, love, love my job and I love the people on the product support team that I work with all of them are so great!

From Nose Bleed to Box Seats

Here's another reason why I love Nu Skin:

Two days after we got home from Vegas, I get a phone call from Steve about two hours before I got off of work, saying that Nu Skin gave him two tickets to the Jazz game that night and they were box seats, so he wanted to know if I wanted to go. You bet your bottom dollar I wanted to go. I have only been to one other Jazz game in my life, and the tickets were given to me from my Bishop which was super nice of him to give his ward members these tickets but they were nose bleeds. I didn't care I was just excited to go to an NBA game.

I have decided Suite side is the way to go!

Here's Steve eating our catered dinner.

And I know you can't see this super well but this is President Monson at the game as well. So Steve and I joked that we had FHE with President Monson since it was a Monday night and he was at the game too! It goes to show people should plan fun FHE's.

And the most fun part is is was a super close game and we won in the last 1.5 seconds by like one point or something, sorry I was too excited to remember.

Are any of you starting to understand how great Nu Skin is? Well just wait for the next post. It even gets better well at least for me it does.

What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas!

I just want to take a second and give a big shout out to Nu Skin. I seriously think they rock! And from this post and the next 3 that I will right, you will know that they rock as well.
Steve was invited to a marketing summit in Las Vegas, and since he was going to stay in a big fancy hotel all by himself we thought I should come and bring him company. We stayed in the JW Marriott, and all we had to pay for was my flight, my food, and of course our little shopping sprees!

Here is our walk in closet

Here is the nicest jetted tub that I have ever been in. I literally took a bath twice a day I loved it so much!

Here are some pictures of the outside of the Hotel at night.

And here are some pictures of the temple.

I had such a blast! We left on Wednesday, December 2nd and then flew back on the 5th. I slept in which is one of favorite things to do, we shopped, ate great food, and relaxed. There is just something about Las Vegas that I absolutely love. I don't know why I love it so much since, I don't gamble, drink, and I obey the law of chastity, but I just think it is so fun even when you keep things clean.
